(very prudently) continuing to buy all

the Indian opium it can, even though

this involves the temporary accumulation

of stocks surplus to its immediate

requirements. It accordingly seems

unnecessary to ask them for a report on

the present position, particularly as we

shall shortly be receiving their annual

report for 1926.
